Gordana Stojanović was born on November 24th, 1960. Education: She graduated in chemistry 1983, average grade 9.92 and awarded as the best graduate student at the University of Niš. She received her master's degree in 1990, defending a thesis entitled "Synthesis of D-desosamine and its 2-O-methyl derivative" at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Niš with average grade 10.00. She defended doctoral dissertation "Synthesis of β-lactone lactam derivatives as potential fungicidal and antibacterial agents" in 1997, at the same institution as master thesis. Academic title, Employment, Professional positions: She is full professor since 2007, at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics, University of Niš (UNFSM). She is a head of the Cathedra of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, since 2012, member of the Scientific Council for Natural Sciences and Mathematics of University of Niš
