Sofija Rančić was born in Šibenik, on 25.08.1960. She has finished primary and high school in her birth place and graduated study of Chemistry in 1984. in Niš. She has reached her M.A. degree in 1991. on the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš, and the Ph.D. in 2005., on the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade, both in the field of analytical chemistry. She is today a professor on the courses of "Teaching methods 2", "School practice 2", and "Environmental analytical chemistry". During her career, she was also teacher oh the course of "Bioanalytical chemistry" in four years period.
