Ivana Zlatanović was born on July 01, 1988. She finished bachelor's studies in Chemistry in 2010., average grade 8.62 and received diploma Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She finished master's studies of Applied Chemistry in 2012., average grade 9.84, defending a master thesis entitled "Isolation of constituent of lichen Parmelia sulcata Taylor acetone extract" at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Niš. She defended doctoral dissertation "Chemical composition, antibacterial, antioxidant and genotoxic activity of lichens Umbilicaria crustulosa (Аch.) Frey, Umbilicaria cylindrica (L.) Delise, Hypogymnia tubulosa (Schaer.) Hav. and Evernia prunastri (L.) Ach" in 2019. at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Niš.
During PhD studies she was scholarship holder of Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia at national project, No. 172047 entitled "Natural products of plants and lichens: isolation, identification, biological activity and application" financed by the Ministry of of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and research assistant at the same project (since 2017 to 2019). She is a reviewer in international journals. She published 13 papers in international journals, 3 papers in journals of national significance, presented 6 papers at international scientific conferences and 2 papers at national scientific conferences. According to Scopus database (accesion date on 05th June 2023) published papers had 23 citations and h-index was 3 (self-citations are excluded).
